What needs to happen is not more whitepapers promising financial sovereignty for the unbanked. What needs to happen is code-level architecture designed for the specific failure modes of crisis economies โ€” transaction batching that survives gas spikes, stablecoin mechanisms that absorb population-scale redemption demand, bridge designs that survive single-party counterparty failure, and oracle systems that do not trigger cascading liquidations during price discovery failure. These are not theoretical problems. They are bugs waiting to be written, in protocols that have never been audited against the scenario that their users are currently experiencing. The dollar at 2M rials is not just a forex headline. It is a canary. The protocols that cannot survive what Iran's population is facing right now will fail catastrophically the next time the combination hits a jurisdiction with less experience and thinner infrastructure. The question is not whether that scenario will arrive. It is whether the code is ready before it does.
